The Mariners brushed off their recent inactivity with a bonus point win at St Davids – keeping themselves firmly in the title race in the process.
The visitors had use of a strong wind in the first half, but were repelled by some determined St Davids defence as the score remained 0-0 some 20 minutes in.
But after Milford second row Dai Sweeny powered over, the same player quickly set up a second try when his charging run led to a score for centre Dan Jenkins.
No 10 Joseph Kiff then sniped over following a scrum against the head, and Jenkins and centre partner James Thomas both rounded off some good handling for two further scores before the break.
Kiff added all five conversions to give The Mariners a 35-point half time lead.
That became 40-0 shortly after half time as Jenkins sped through for his hat trick – before The Saints, with flanker Scott Riches (who was awarded the Saints man of the match) and second row Chris Jenkins to the fore, enjoyed a heavy spell of pressure but failed to grab the consolation score they deserved.
The young Milford backline then threw the ball about in an open final quarter, with winger James Trueman and Thomas adding further tries, and Kiff adding one more conversion. Veteran second row Sweeney was adjudged as the Milford man of the match for his total involvement and back row man Dean Aldred came on to play his final game at 40 years of age!
